Please be advised that our agreed fixed fee does not cover third party charges relating to the Home Office, Immigration Health Surcharge, specialist reports, medical evidence, translations or Counsel where required but we always send you a written quote of all forseaable charges within your initial advice letter.

In accordance with the Solicitor's Regulation Authority's Price & Service Transparency Rules, we are required to provide price information about likely charges for our consultations and for our advice and assistance in relation to personal immigration applications.

CONSULTATION SERVICE

After your initial call to our offices, where you will be able to speak to one of our lawyers on request, you will be given details about our consultation process. To help ensure that you have a viable application and understand the key requirements and outline process, we work on a consultation basis for all new clients. We charge from £150 exc VAT for Personal or £200 for Business Client Consultations for a one-off 40 minute consultation so you know where you stand with your first immigration application in that category (note where there is a complex immigration history, previous refusals or multiple application options the consultation fee can be up to 50% more).

There is no obligation to instruct us after the initial consultation.

The consultation is followed by an advice letter with clear and practical advice, the prospects of success, the likely timescales involved and a fixed fee quote for viable applications based on the information you have given and the complexity of the case as well as what you can expect your Home Office / health surcharge costs to be (where applicable). The fixed fee will be based on number of hours we expect the case to take multiplied by the hourly rate of the lawyer handling your case (between £100 - £150 p/h). Dependents are normally charged at 50% of the main applicant's legal fee and subsequent dependents at 25% as long as a separate application is not required.

You will also be advised on any additional fees you may have to pay e.g. Home Office / translation fees / barrister’s fees.  You will receive regular updates / invoices confirming work carried out / charges agreed / VAT liability and disbursements e.g. court or barrister’s fees.

In the examples below, we have based expected fees on the hourly rate of one our Assistant Solicitors charging £125 per hour noting that the exact fixed fee, quoted in the advice letter, will depend on the complexity of the case and amount of supporting evidence that needs to be considered, the other services you require, the number of dependents etc. Where instructions are withdrawn part way through, we reserve the right to charge for work done on an hourly rates basis.
